Monmouthshire Final Recommendations
The Commission has published its Final Recommendations for the future community electoral arrangements for the County of Monmouthshire and submitted them to Welsh Government Ministers on 31 January 2019.
It is now for Welsh Government and its Ministers to decide how to proceed. Ordinarily they will make an Order.
The County of Monmouthshire Council has conducted a review of the community boundaries and community electoral arrangements under the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended). The County of Monmouthshire Council submitted a report to the Commission detailing their proposals for changes to a number of community boundaries in their area on 11 May 2018.
The Final Recommendations Report contains all of the Commission’s recommendations for the County of Monmouthshire. Where it has made changes to the existing arrangements a description of the change, the representations it has received, the reasons for any change and a map of the proposals are contained in the report.
The reports for the review can be found below.
