Policy and Practice Published

Today we have published our updated Electoral Reviews: Policy and Practice document for the programme to review all 22 principal council areas in good time for the 2022 local government elections.

Following the written statement by the Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Local Government on 23rd June 2016, the Commission have revised the Policy and Practice document in order to meet the obligations as set out in legislation.

The Electoral Reviews: Policy and Practice sets out the Commission's intended timetable for conducting the reviews of Wales' principal councils; its Council Size Policy; and, the policies and procedures that it would apply in the conduct of the reviews.
